POL M: Bogdanka LUK Lublin and Jastrzębski Węgiel Claim Important Wins

Bogdanka LUK Lublin defeated PGE Projekt Warszawa 3–1 in the headline match of the 25th round of the PlusLiga, closing the gap to the Warsaw side to just one point.

The opening set delivered the most drama, with Lublin edging a tight battle 31–29. They followed with a 25–21 win in the second set before Projekt responded 25–19 in the third. The visitors sealed the match convincingly in the fourth set 25–12.

Wilfredo Leon led Bogdanka with 18 points, while Mateusz Malinowski (14), Hilir Henno (13) and Maciej Zając (12) also contributed heavily. For Projekt Warszawa, Bartosz Bednorz scored 14 points and Jurij Semeniuk added 10. Lublin outperformed their opponents in serves (7–3), blocks (10–7) and committed fewer errors (28 to 34). Maciej Zając was named MVP.

Result: PGE Projekt Warszawa – Bogdanka LUK Lublin 1:3 (29:31, 21:25, 25:19, 12:25).

In another important match in the play-off race, JSW Jastrzębski Węgiel swept Energa Trefl Gdańsk 3–0, allowing them to move ahead of their rivals in the standings.

Łukasz Kaczmarek was the top scorer with 15 points, supported by Nicolas Szerszeń (13) and Michał Gierżot (12). Trefl’s leading scorers were Tobias Brand (12) and Piotr Orczyk (10). The visitors held advantages in attack efficiency (47%–43%), blocks (7–5) and committed fewer errors (18–22). Benjamin Toniutti earned the MVP award.

Result: Energa Trefl Gdańsk – JSW Jastrzębski Węgiel 0:3 (23:25, 23:25, 21:25).
