Poland earned their first win of the 2026 men’s national team season after defeating Ukraine 3-1 at the international friendly tournament in Katowice and Sosnowiec.
The hosts dropped the opening set before responding with three consecutive set victories. Earlier on Friday, Bulgaria came back from a two-set deficit to beat Serbia 3-2.
The tournament features Poland, Bulgaria, Serbia and Ukraine and serves as the opening event of the international volleyball season. Matches are being played at Arena Sosnowiec and the Spodek in Katowice.
Poland began the competition with a 2-3 loss to Serbia, while Bulgaria defeated Ukraine 3-1 in the other opening-day match.
