The fifth and decisive set opened with an impressive blocking by Katarzyna Gajgał-Anioł and finally favorites did not need to fear, they controlled the situation (4-0). For the first time in the match, the Łódź failed in defence. Double service errors only made their loss closer and closer. They were no longer able to make up for mistakes – 9-15.
Anna Werblińska from Chemik was top scorer of the match with 21 points, while in Łódź, Ewelina Sieczka and Sanja Popović scored 17.
Another favorite had hard time and also played tie-break. PGE Atom Trefl Sopot was on the edge to lose away match against BKS Aluprof Bielsko-Biała after the opponent had lead of 2-1 in sets – 3-2 (25-16, 21-25, 19-25, 26-24, 15-6).
Katarzyna Zaroślińska was unstoppable in Trefl Sopot with 25 points. Helena Horka was the most efficient in the home team with 20 points.
