POL M: Resovia responds – “We’ve never confirmed our participation on Gołaś Memorial”

“The term of the ’Memorial’ conflicts with the possible departure on the Club World Championship in Brazil” – Resovia stated.

The press officer of PlusLiga title holder confirmed that the team has received an invitation to play in the friendly tournament.

“However, our club has never confirmed its participation in this tournament. Until today, all participants of the Club World Championship are not known, which is why coach Andrzej Kowal canceled participation in any other tournament in that period,” it was added in Resovia’s statement.

A few days ago, we published the letter from the organizer of the tournament in which they accused Resovia’s coach Andrzej Kowal for refusing to play in the “Memorial”, to be held on October 24-25.

Three other teams that were planned to participate, apart from Polish champions, are: Trefl, Bydgoszcz and Częstochowa.
