The head coach Stéphane Antiga, announced roster that will represent Poland in the tournament in Berlin (January 5-10) and try to secure Rio spot which will be grabbed by the winner only.
Recall that second and third placed team will have another chance to go to the Olympic Games, at the Intercontinental tournament in May.
After the news that Michał Kubiak recovered from an injury, two other players were crossed out due to the same reason – Aleksander Śliwka and Grzegorz Bociek. Antiga decided to leave Artur Szalpuk out from the list, as well.
The list of 14 for the Olympics of Poland looks like this:
Setters: Fabian Drzyzga and Grzegorz Łomacz
Opposites: Bartosz Kurek and Dawid Konarski
Middle blockers: Mateusz Bieniek, Karol Kłos, Marcin Możdżonek and Andrzej Wrona
Receivers/outside hitters: Rafał Buszek, Michał Kubiak, Mateusz Mika and Wojciech Żaliński
Liberos: Damian Wojtaszek and Paweł Zatorski.
