“Andrzej Niemczyk is currently in a hospital and his health condition is severely compromised. Doctors define it as critical,” information about the very bad health condition of Niemczyk appeared on his Facebook profile.

Fortunately, slightly more optimistic information was circulating during a day – his state is stable at the moment, according to doctors. Even Małgorzata Niemczyk, Andrzej’s daughter and former player of the Polish NT, confirmed that her father is conscious and passing a comprehensive examination.

The 72-year-old coach, gold medalist at two European championships (2003, 2005), has been struggling with cancer of the lymph nodes for a long time.
