Once again, injured Mateusz Mika did not find his place in Trefl’s starting six and was replaced, as usual, by Miłosz Hebda. Surprisingly, Trefl’s coach, Italian Andrea Anastasi, left Damian Schulz out from line-up, too.
On the other side, Radom’s coach, the Argentine Raúl Lozano, could not count on receiver/outside hitter Wojciech Żaliński for the same reason (played a little only in Set 1).
Anastasi took a bit more risk than his colleague by putting Mika (4 pts.) on court in the last three sets, but it didn’t turned out as successful idea since the 2014 world champion was not fit enough.
Murphy Troy was the best scorer in Trefl with 17 points. Artur Szalpuk collected 22 in Radom.
In the semi-finals, Trefl will face ZAKSĄ Kędzierzyn-Koźle who beat Jastrzębski Węgiel.
