Chemik took another win in semifinals against Tauron MKS Dąbrowa Górnicza 3-0 (25-21, 25-18, 27-25), this time on road, and snatched series 2-0. Chemik took first game in straight sets as well.
Dąbrowa Górnicza needed victory to stay alive in series, but despite of return of Croatian Sanja Popović (recovered from injury) and several changes in line-up made by Argentine coach Juan Manuel Serramalera, they were not capable of winning at least one set. Players of a home team made too many mistakes at closure of each set.
The Czech Helena Havelková topped Chemik’s scorers with 16 points while American Deja McClendon had 10 in Dąbrowa Górnicza.
