Budowlani
So far, Budowlani are the most pleasant phenomena in the Polish Women’s Volleyball Championship. They closed third round of OrlenLiga with a straigh-set win against visiting team of Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski, partially 26-24, 25-18, 25-16. With this victory, Budowlani tied with Chemik Police at the top of the standings with 3-0 record.
Julia Twardowska and Belgian Kaja Grobelna highlighted in Budowlani with 14 points each. Joanna Kapturska had 8 in Ostrowiec.
Impel Wrocław were also successful on a final day of the third round. They beat Bielsko-Biała at home 3-1. Interestingly, as much as five players of the winning team had double digits which is so rare in a four-set game. Natalia Męrdzyk (ex-Kurnikowska) was the most efficient with 14 points. Aleksandra Wańczyk collected 11 in Bielsko-Biała.
