POL M: Two Polish Junior NT players severely punished for unsportsmanlike behavior

Polish Division 2 men’s volleyball team Spała has decided to punish two of its players who were the most impulsive during the incident, which occurred at a Saturday’s match against Hajnówka. It was one of the most serious incidents in volleyball this season counting all leagues around the world.

The decision of club officials was to resolve Norbert Huber functions of the team captain and to expel Jakub Szymański from the squad until the end of the season.

As for the incident on Saturday’s match, Szymanski hit one of opposing players, while Huber got into a discussion with the referees and competition commissioner. The match was even interrupted for 10 minutes. Both players are members of Polish Junior National Team.

The penalty from Spała is separate course of proceedings that Polish Volleyball Federation will conduct in next few days.
