Andrea Anastasi and his boys have done it again! After beating Asseco Resovia in the semifinals of the Polish Cup, they outplayed the same rival in the Polish Championship. And once more, the winner was decided in the tie-break.
In the 5th and decisive set Gdansk quickly escaped to 6:2, they then increased the lead to 9:5, but Resovia managed to reduce the margin to 11:9. However, the squad from Gdansk immediately answered back by taking the following two points for 13:9 and then they finished the match by winning the tie-break 15:10.
The top scorers in Gdansk crew were Damian Schulz with 27 points (MVP) and Dmitro Pashytskyy with 14. On the other side, Thibault Rossard made 20, while Gavin Schmitt added 19 points for Resovia.
