Finally, with a 3-0 run at the end of a tie-break, Philippe Blain’s side overpowered persistent opponents 3-2 (16-25, 25-19, 22-25, 25-17, 15-10) to win two points instead of planned three points.
Both teams had a high-level blocking game (Radom 18, Skra 14), while Skra star Bartosz Kurek showed he will need more time to make a fully successful transition from an opposite to the receiver position. He had only 33% reception (23% perfect).
As for the scorers, Mariusz Wlazły from Skra had 22 points while Serbian Srećko Lisinac added 17 (4 aces and 4 blocks). In Radom, Wojciech Żaliński collected 21 (6 blocks).
