Skra almost blew it against AZS Olsztyn on the road as they allowed rivals to make a comeback after 0-2 in sets but thanks to Lisinac – Penchev duo they prevailed in the tie-break, 3-2 (29:27, 25:15, 22:25, 19:25, 15-9). Mariusz Wlazły was the most efficient individual in Skra with 24 points. Wojciech Włodarczyk had 23 for Olsztyn.
PlusLiga runners-up Resovia had no problems against hosts BBTS Bielsko-Biała 3-0 (25-16, 25-19, 25-19) to remain second placed in the rankings. Canadian John Gordon Perrin highlighted winners with 15 points.
So far, only one team secured one of four playoff spots – title holders ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle. Resovia and Skra are the closest to book second and third ticket and likely to face each other in the semifinals. Jastrzębski Węgiel are chasing the fourth ticket…
