PlusLiga title holders silenced more than 3,000 noisy fans of No.4 Jastrzębski Węgiel, winning Game 1 of best-of-three playoff semifinals 3-0 (25-23, 25-20, 25-19).
Jastrzębski showed tough resistance only in the first set, allowing Zaksa to beat them in the easiest way this season. Ferdinando De Giorgi’s protégés will have the chance to advance to the finals in front of own crowd, on April, 12.
Belgian Sam Deroo scored 19 points for Zaksa, while Cuban Salvador Hidalgo had 13 for Jastrzębski
PGE Skra Bełchatów and Asseco Resovia Rzeszów will play their first semifinal game on April 9.
