Title holders and also top seed Chemik made a break in the playoff finals of the Polish Women’s Volleyball Championship (OrlenLiga) by beating No.3 Budowlani in Game 1, on the road 3-0 (25-14, 25-18, 25-17) in front of 4,000 spectators in „Atlas Arena“.
Chemik downed Budowlani for the third time this season (suffering one loss), of which one time was in the national Cup final. So, when it comes to the fight for a trophy, like then and now, Chemik are nearly unbeatable. OrlenLiga champions now need to win two sets in Game 1 to secure another national title.
As for tonight, Chemik were led by Katarzyna Zaroślińska, who socred 18 points. There were no players with souble digits in Budowlani.
