“The departure of the Frenchman is very complicated. He was the perfect athlete for our team. I could not want a better one than him. Unfortunately, Kevin has left and we have to accept this situation and to find someone who will fit perfectly with the team. With him, we would have had a great chance of winning in every competition. Without him, we are one of the six, seven teams in the league that will be at the same level and fighting for those places in the semifinals,” says Mark Lebedew.
The head coach of Jastrzebski admits that he understands the decision of the Frenchman.
“Of course, I understand. We talked face to face and he explained the situation to me. If someone gets twice as much salary, more than he has ever earned and maybe more than he could ever expect. Believe me, it’s not a difference of twenty thousand euros, they offered him a large amount of money and he is professional, volleyball is his job. On the other hand, I understand the position of the club, and that FIVB must make all contracts stronger.,” says Lebedew.
