Former Politechnika captain, Konrad Małecki, loses battle to disease

Former player of several Men’s Volleyball clubs in the Polish top division has died at the age of 38.

A receiver Konrad Małecki, who served as a captain in ONICO AZS Politechnika Warszawska from 2002 to 2006, leading the team from the Polish capital to the promotion in PlusLiga, lost the fight against the disease.

After Politechnika, Małecki has worn the jersey of one of the most prominent clubs in Poland, ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle, current national champions, from 2006-2008.

He finished his professional career in Cerrad Czarni Radom in 2010.
