Resovia-vs-Skra
The PlusLiga classic (Klasyk PlusLigi) went to Skra for the second time this season 3-2 (25-23, 15-25, 24-26, 26-24, 15-10). Thus, the players coached by Roberto Piazza remained the second-placed in the standings (the first two spots in regular stage secure automatic berth to the playoff semifinals) while Resovia are still at No.4.

Resovia had a 23-21 lead in the fourth set but failed to complete the execution of fierce rivals. And, the punishment from Skra has arrived. Their substitute Nikolay Penchev turned to be the key player in the finish of the set. The Bulgarian outside hitter finished the match with 11 points (4 aces, 5 kill blocks). As for the tie-break, Skra dictated the pace from the beginning to end.

Both sides committed a large number of errors in front of packed stands at Resovia’s ground RCSW Podpromie (4,304 spectators) but with Skra committing much more (54-40).

Skra captain Mariusz Wlazły topped his team with 20 points (3 aces, 2 kill blocks) and earned the MVP of the match award. Aleksander Śliwka notched 21 points while the Frenchman Thibault Rossard added 5 aces (17 points).
