The quarter-final series in the 2021/22 Women’s Superliga Paribet (Суперлига Парибет Женщины) playoffs ended today and none of the confrontations required a 3rd and decisive match.

The current champions Lokomotiv (No.3) faced a heavy challenge against No.6 Proton in Game 2 but thanks to Irina Voronkova (33 points) and Yuliya Brovkina, who was just astounding in the block (made 8 out of the team’s 20 blocks), the Kaliningrad club prevailed in the tie-break.

In one pair, the team with a lower seeding triumphed: No.5 Uralochka-NTMK turned out to be stronger than Tulitsa (No.4).

The away match against No.8 Dinamo Krasnodar was much easier for the regular-season winners Dinamo-Ak Bars. In the first match, the Kazan team prevailed only in a tie-break, while today in Game 2 it won in straight sets. The top seed was deprived of the help of Croatian Samantha Fabris (injured) in both matches.

No.2 Dinamo Moscow lost only one set in 2 matches of the quarter-finals against No.7 Leningradka.
