Following yesterday’s three matches in Round 27 of the Russian Superliga, the league continued with four games played today.
The top two teams, Zenit Kazan and Dynamo Moscow, each earned three points, leaving the standings unchanged. Zenit Kazan won easily in straight sets (25-21, 25-21, 25-11) against Fakel Novy Urengoy, while Dynamo Moscow needed four sets to secure a victory against Ural Ufa after losing a first set (26-28, 25-17, 25-22, 25-22). Lokomotiv Novosibirsk also earned three points with a straight-set win (25-22, 25-15, 25-20) over Gazprom-Yugra Surgut, and ASK Nizhny Novgorod caused an upset by beating Zenit St. Petersburg 3-2 (25-21, 20-25, 25-21, 22-25, 15-11) on their home court.
The round will conclude with tomorrow’s match between Belogorie Belgorod and Kuzbass Kemerovo.
