In the group stage they defeated Fakel and Lokomotiv Novosibirsk with 3-0, then in the semifinal they downed Dinamo Moscow by 3-0 as well, and finally in the big final Zenit totally outclassed Lokomotiv Novosibirsk for the second time on this tournament.
Recall that in 2015 Kazan powerhouse will be stronger for Matt Anderson and Saeid Marouf, while Benjamin Toniutti was in the roster in this final and will leave the team as a Russian Cup winner.
