Once again Dinamo Moscow had 2-0… Ivan Zaytsev had his show. Italian star finished the first set with 5 consecutive points (3 aces) and pushed his team from 20:20 to 25:20!!! Then the same player finished the second set with two aces in row. From 23:23 to 25:23!!! But, even his brilliant performance could not help the Moscow side.
Because, from that moment Zenit Kazan started to dominate! Leon, Mikhailov, Anderson… They were unstoppable and tied the score at 2-2 in sets! Tie-break? Zenit escaped to 14:10 and had 4 match-points! Still, there was a bit more drama in this clash.
Dinamo Moscow scored three points in a row and reduced the margin to 14:13, but then Matt Anderson spiked a true volleyball cannonball and finished the game – 15:13, 3-2 for the Kazan squad!
Zenit will therefore meet Belogorie in the big finals of the Russian Cup.
