Alekno
These kind of decisions are never easy, but they simply must be made. Vladimir Alekno has shortened the roster of the Russian national team to 16 names. He decided to cut 6 names from the wide list, including Igor Kolodinskiy, Victor Poletaev, Sergey Savin, Artem Ermakov, Ilya Vlasov and Valetin Golubev.
It is interesting to see that Aelkno decided to cut perhaps two top Russian talents – Victor Poletaev and Ilya Vlasov.
