That was the real face of Russia! The squad coached by Vladimir Alekno presented a powerful performance in their last game at the group stage and ran over Bulgaria in just three sets!
Alexander Volkov was leading the Russian troops with 13 points, while Sergey Tetyukhin added 11. In, Bulgaria only Vladimir Nikolov reached double digits – 11 points.
Russia have therefore qualified for the semifinals of the European Olympic Qualifier!
