By beating No.9 Yenisey Krasnoyarsk in an away game, fourth seed Belogorie secured their berth in the Final Six which will be played from May 5-11 and which will give the answer to the question of the new Russian title holders. Belogorie won first match at home in straight sets before prevailing in the tie-break in the rematch 3-2 (26-24, 19-25, 20-25, 25-20, 15-7). Maksim Zhigalov topped Belogorie scorers with 18 points. Anton Mysin had 20 in Yenisey.
No.3 Lokomotiv achieved double 3-1 win against tenth seed Nova Novokuybishevsk, while No.6 Fakel did not have major problems versus seventh seed Ural Ufa – 3-0 and 3-0.
No.5 Kuzbass Kemerovo and eighth seed Gazprom-Yugra Surgut will have to play the third game to decide which team will fill the only remained spot at the Final Six as Yugra leveled at 1-1.
Zenit Kazan and Dinamo Moscow automatically qualified to the final stage by claiming top two places in Regular Season.
