RUS M: Zenit Kazan, watch out in 2018! Belogorie staying just behind titleholders in Superliga standings

Belogorie-Belgorod

Belogorie Belgorod prevailed against Zenit Sankt Peterburg by a 3-1 (25-17, 21-25, 25-20, 25-25) on the road in Round 16 of the Russian Men’s Volleyball Championship Superliga to keep breathing down the neck of top-ranked Zenit Kazan. Each side has a 15-1 record but with the defending champions having one point more than Belogorie. This implies that we will watch a huge fight for the national championship title in 2018! Konstantin Bakun scored 17 points for Belogorie while Cuban Oreol Camejo made 19 points (4 kill blocks) for Zenit Sankt Peterburg.

Fakel Novy Urengoy, Dinamo Moscow, and Ural Ufa also achieved wins in this round to keep spots number three, four, and five, respectively, in the Superliga standings.
