Zenit-Kazan
Four-time defending champions of Superliga, Zenit Kazan, secured top-seed for the playoffs, two rounds before the end of the regular season. In Round 24, Zenit Kazan beat Yugra-Samotlor Nizhnevartovsk in straight sets, partially, 25-19, 25-11, 25-18, despite the fact their coach Vladimir Alekno gave the rest to Aleksandr Butko, Aleksey Verbov, Aleksandr Gutsalyuk, and American Matt Anderson (played the opening set only). Nikita Alekseev scored 14 points for Zenit Kazan while Artem Volvich and Maksim Panteleymonenko added 4 kill blocks apiece. In Samotlor, Sergey Panov scored 12 points.
By beating Nova Novokuybishevsk on the road, Dinamo Moscow climbed to No.3 for which they will fight Fakel Novy Urengoy and Zenit Sankt-Peterburg, who scored their 7th consecutive win, in the last two rounds.
Enisey Krasnoyarsk upset Lokomotiv Novosibirsk, who cannot lose their playoff spot but can fall to No.7. Until the end of the season, Lokomotiv will play without Georg Grozer, as the German opposite was traded to Belogorie.
