Ub Outlast TENT in Five Sets to Capture Serbian Cup Title

Ub secured its third Serbian Cup trophy defeating defending champion TENT Obrenovac 3-2 in a tightly contested final that lasted nearly two and a half hours.

Ub won 25-17, 26-24, 22-25, 15-25, 15-13 in the 60th edition of the competition, holding off a determined comeback in front of approximately 4,000 fans.

Ub controlled the early stages, claiming the opening set with strong blocking and steady offense. The second set proved decisive, as Ub erased a late deficit and saved two set points before closing it out for a 2-0 advantage.

TENT responded with renewed intensity. Led by Tamara Miljević’s 22 points and Nevena Sajić’s 21, the Obrenovac side took the third set and dominated the fourth to force a deciding tie-break. Jovana Cvetković added 15 points, while Nataša Čikuc finished with 14.

In the final set, TENT again threatened to complete the comeback, but Ub held firm in the closing moments. Aliona Martiniuc and Isidora Rodić each scored 20 points to lead Ub, while Bojana Ćelić contributed 17.

Ub sealed the match 15-13 in the fifth set to end a three-year wait for the cup, denying TENT a successful title defense.
