The head coach of the reigning Serbian champions, Dragan Kobiljski, shows his respect for the Italian opponent:
“CMC RAVENNA is a very competitive Italian team, with good players in all positions and they certainly did not come to Belgrade as tourists but to win. A lot of stuff is on their side, but we have our trump card, and I primarily think of our fighting spirit. Klemen Cebulj was with ACH Volley LJUBLJANA by the time I worked for this team together with Igor Kolakovic, back then he was a young player, but as far as I followed him in Ravenna, he has become one of the main pillars of the team. I think that he and the Brazilian opposite Renan Buiatti Zanatta, a left-handed player, are the main attackers, but they have their flaws.”
The team captain Maksim Buculjević is happy that he and his teammates have the opportunity to play a highly competitive Italian opponent in Serbia’s capital:
“We will try to beat them, technically we can be competitive enough, physically they are still more powerful than us, but I think we can play with them in equal terms. I really hope that we will have an interesting Volleyball night.”
