In front of nearly 12,000 fans at Maracanãzinho, Brazil won 25-20, 25-23, 25-20 to claim its 34th South American title. Darlan led the hosts with 23 points, while Vicentin scored 11 for Argentina.
Lucarelli was named tournament MVP, with Darlan, Cachopa, Adriano and Flávio also earning individual honors for Brazil. Argentina’s Loser and Massimino and Chile’s Aravena completed the tournament’s Ideal Team.
Chile took bronze and secured places at the FIVB World Cup in Poland and Lima 2027 Pan American Games after sweeping Bolivia 25-11, 25-15, 25-17. Ibarra led Chile with 16 points.
Colombia completed the tournament in fourth place after beating Venezuela 3-1, with Amaranto scoring 24 points.
