Brazil defeated Paraguay and Argentina were too strong for Uruguay.
The winner of the South American Championship gets one of the two berths available to South America at the 2018 World Championship, which will be jointly hosted by Italy and Bulgaria next year.
One more ticket from South America will be decided at the continental qualifiers, scheduled to start on 31 August in Argentina
