But, she will not have an easy job, because Canakkale still waits for the first victory in domestic competition and is second from the bottom on the standings:
“I am still far away from savior, but we will fight to evade relegation. I received a call from Dragan Nešić, he explained to me situation in club and I decided to come and help” – said Čitaković-Djurišić in interview for Serbian newspapers “Sportski žurnal“.
Experienced player won’t debut for Canakkale this weekend:
“I practiced in recent period as much I could. I will miss match against Eczacibasi, but I will play games against Eregli and Yesilyurt in which we all expect to write down first victories.“
This will be third time that Čitaković-Djurišić defend colours of some Turkish team, but with totally different role than in previous two:
“I played for Eczacibasi and Galatasaray and with them I fought for the highest ranking. Now I will be in a battle for survival. Both those challenges are tempting and I just hope we can achieve our goal“ – conluded Serbian player.
