The 5th round of the Turkish Championship (AXA Sigorta Efeler Ligi) has been played. There were no major surprises in the Sunday matches. In the only match that went to 5 sets, Arkas managed to make a comeback after being down 2-1 to the hosts Kuşgöz İzmir Vinç Akkuş Bld and convincingly won the following two sets to achieve the final victory of 2-3 (18-25, 25-23, 27-25, 14-25, 9-15).
