In the 21st round of the Vodafone Sultanlar Ligi, VakıfBank secured a dominant 3-0 victory against PTT in Ankara, marking their 10th consecutive win this season. The match concluded with scores of 27-25, 25-17, and 25-18 in favor of VakıfBank.
The game started off on an even footing, but VakıfBank showcased their resilience by overturning a 24-20 deficit in the first set with a 5-0 run, eventually winning 27-25. They continued their momentum, comfortably taking the next two sets. Ali Frantti was a standout player for VakıfBank, contributing significantly with 11 points.
On the PTT side, Marta Levinska led with 12 points, supported by Payton Caffrey’s 10 points. However, their efforts were not enough to secure a win against the formidable VakıfBank team.
Looking ahead, VakıfBank is set to face the Italian team Imoco Conegliano in the CEV Champions League quarter-finals on Tuesday, February 20th, at the VakıfBank Sports Palace.
