The third round of the Vodafone Sultanlar Ligi concluded today. The spotlight was on the Istanbul derby, where VakıfBank continued their flawless run by defeating Eczacıbaşı Dynavit 3-1 in an intense, emotional matchup.
Eczacıbaşı started strong, taking the first set 25-23 thanks to Ebrar Karakurt’s sharp attacks and steady serving. But once again, VakıfBank’s fighting spirit took over. Led by the unstoppable Marina Markova with 28 points, along with Zehra Güneş (13) and Tijana Boskovic (12), the yellow-blacks bounced back to win the next three sets (23-25, 21-25, 24-26).
