TUR W: VakıfBank Extends Winning Streak as Round 24 Concludes in Vodafone Sultanlar Ligi

League leader VakıfBank strengthened its position at the top of the Vodafone Sultanlar Ligi standings on Sunday, defeating Nilüfer Bld. Eker in straight sets to close out Round 24 action.

VakıfBank earned a 3-0 road victory (26-24, 25-16, 25-11) to improve to 23 wins in 24 matches this season. The result marked the team’s eighth consecutive league win.

Tijana Boskovic led all players with 23 points, including 12 in the opening set. Helena Cazaute added 15 points as seven VakıfBank players registered on the scoresheet.

The first set was tightly contested before VakıfBank pulled ahead 26-24 after 30 minutes. In the second, the visitors turned a narrow 13-12 lead into control with an 8-0 run on Cansu Özbay’s serve and went on to win 25-16. VakıfBank closed the match decisively in the third set, racing to an early advantage and sealing it 25-11. Iman Ndiaye paced Nilüfer with 15 points, while Nina Cajic contributed 10.
