“We really want to win this competition again after we did so back in 2012 and this match was very important for the group stage. We are of course very happy with this victory” said Fenerbahce team captain Eda Erdem Dündar.
Her teammate Christina Bauer added that the whole team wanted to bounce back after a defeat from VakifBank.
“We were very disappointed after losing to VakifBank in the national league and after that defeat we have been working really hard, so today we could finally show our real strength.”
