TUR W: Kim outscores Kim – Vakif beat Fener! First win of Eczacıbaşı in Top 4

Fener - Vakif

Fener – Vakif

In a rerun of the recent semifinals of the CEV Champions League there was the same outcome. ’Vakif’ downed Fenerbahçe Grundig to become the only undefeated team in the final stage of the championship 3-1 (25-20, 25-14, 22-25, 25-22).

Italian expert in VakıfBank, Giovanni Guidetti, definitely decided that the Dutch Robin de Kruijf and Brazilian Sheilla Castro are not necessary to the team at this point of the Top 4 and left them out of protocol once again (limitation of foreign players is 3 on court and 1 on the bench). American Kimberly Hill with 22 points outscored Fener’s Korean Kim Yeon-Koung, who collected 17 points.

Eczacıbaşı VitrA finally scored their first victory. They defeated Galatasaray Daikin in straight sets nailing the rivals to the bottom of the standings. Serbian Tijana Bošković topped the scorers in the winning team with 19 points. Italian Nadia Centoni was the best scorer of her team in third consecutive match.
