What a way to win the title! VakifBank beat and dethrone the Yellow Angels! They needed two sets against the reigning champions and at the result 2-0, everything was clear – the title stays in Istanbul but changes the owner.
What could we say about the match? We was the total domination of Vakifbank in the first two and in the fourth set, while Fenerbahçe gave some resistance in the second set.
Some rumours say that the head coach of Fenerbahçe Marcello Abbodanza is going to leave the team.
The top scorer of the game was Kimberly Hill with 16 points while three players had double digits – Sloetjes (14), Kirdar (14) and Rašić (13)!
On the away side, Brankica Mihajlović had 16 points.
