Italian National Team defeated Turkey in front of rival’s crowd in Ankara in penultimate round of the 2016 FIVB World Grand Prix – Group 1, 3-1 (21-25, 25-21, 25-19, 25-17).
It was Italy’s first win after suffering four-game losing streak which cost them to qualify to the Final Tournament in Thailand, on July 6-10. Turkey are in the same situation.
Valentina Diouf topped Italy’s scorers with 17 points, from which three were from serving. „Azzurrine“ were amazing in that element, having eight aces against only one from the Turkish National Team. Fatma Yıldırım scored 15 for Turkey.
