Turkey cruised to a speedy 25-12 in the opening set powered by the spikes of Burutay Subasi.
Portugal caught a good start in set 2 and even though Turkey did level at 23, the guests sealed it at 25-23.
Team captain Ulas Kiyak anchored his side very well in set 3 (25-20) and Turkey finished set 4 with the same score to the delight of their fans. Emre Batur paced Turkey with 22 points – including 4 blocks -, one more than teammate Halil Ibrahim Yücel.
