VakifBank vs. Nilufer
Reigning champions of Turkey and also FIVB Club World Championship bronze medalists VakıfBank beat Nilüfer Belediyespor at home 3-0 (25-14, 25-18, 25-23) to claim the leadership in the standings of Vestel Venus Sultanlar Ligi.
Even without Zhu Ting, Milena Rašić and Gözde Kırdar (remained on the bench by the decision of coach Giovanni Guidetti), ‘Vakıf’ had no problem to defeat their rivals in “Burhan Felek” gymnasium. American Kimberly Hill topped winning team with 17 points while Dutch Lonneke Slöetjes added 14. Ukrainian Iryna Trushkina had 13 in Nilüfer.
Halkbank Ankara is one of those teams with perfect record after downing Sarıyer Belediyesi 3-1, while Galatasaray İstanbul noted their first win of the season, against Seramiksan 3-0.
