Both teams had the same overall score before this match (3-1), so everyone expected a tough battle. The things got very interesting already in the 1st set which HalkBank won by 30:28.
However, Eczacibasi VitrA answered back immediately by taking the 2nd set – 25:18, while it was the 3rd set that decided the winner. After a very close race, Eczacibasi VitrA reached the 25th point just before HalkBank and took the crucial lead in this game – 25:23. The Orange crew then dominated the 4th set and seized a valuable road win – 25:20.
The top scorer in the winning side was Tatiana Kosheleva who made 21 points, while Tijana Bošković added 20 for the reigning world champions.
