Ferhat Akbas
Akbas’ contract with the Turkish Volleyball Federation has officially expired, while the two sides decided not to extend it.
“It is time for me to leave the Turkish national team, for which I have been working since 2009. I would like to express my gratitude to the Turkish Volleyball Federation, who has always supported be during my 7 years of service. I am very thankful to everyone who has worked with me over the years. Although I have finished my mission in the national team, I will continue to serve Turkish volleyball and I am sure that the Turkish volleyball will achieve many successes in the following years,” wrote Ferhat Akbas in his farewell message.
Immediately after this statement, Turkish website voleybolextra.com announced that the new head coach of Turkey women’s national team will be – Giovanni Guidetti! Current head coach of VakifBank has just parted ways with the Netherlands women’s national team…
