Eczacıbaşı İstanbul, Turkish Women’s volleyball powerhouse, definitely decided to rely more on young forces next season.

Eczacıbaşı officials made some cuts in the roster that failed to win the national title last season from the start of the summer transfer window and bring some local young players on the roster for the 2017/18. Now, this transfer policy is even more visible with the arrivals of the two prospects.

An 18-year-old middle blocker Yasemin Güveli, who competed in the 2017 FIVB U20 World Championship, came to Eczacıbaşı from Beşiktaş İstanbul, while a 23-year-old libero Dilara Bağcı, a former Turkish U23 NT member, moved from Nilüfer Belediyesi Bursa.

At the same time, Eczacıbaşı parted ways with two youngsters. A 19-year-old setter Gizem Mısra Aşçı, member of the Turkish U20 NT in the recently held FIVB U20 World Champs was released to Seramiksan Turgutlu, while a 23-year-old middle blocker Ceylan Arısan went to Beşiktaş İstanbul.
