No.1 Halkbank made a sweep over No.5 İstanbul BBSK in the 2017-2018 Efeler Ligi semifinal series (2-0) to advance to their second consecutive finals. They won Game 2 by a 3-1, partially 20-25, 25-20, 25-23, 25-19.
The Cuban Fernando Hernández topped Halkbank with 24 points. Baturalp Burak Güngör scored 11 points for İstanbul BBSK.
In the best-of-five playoff finals, Halkbank will face Arkas Spor. These two will clash for the national title for the second season in a row.
