Austin won 25-20, 21-25, 22-25, 25-22, 15-11, then sealed the title with a 15-8 golden set victory.

“We are creating a legacy and really showing what Austin volleyball is,” outside hitter Logan Eggleston said. “To come out on top two years in a row in a league this competitive is really special.”

Austin responded after Salt Lake had won the opening championship match on Thursday. The teams traded momentum throughout the first four sets, with Austin getting strong performances from Asjia O’Neal at the net, Eggleston on the outside, and Madisen Skinner in key moments.

Salt Lake stayed in contention behind Alexa Gray and solid defense, pushing the match into a deciding fifth set.

With the title on the line, Austin stayed composed. Skinner helped stretch the lead late, and Austin closed out the fifth set 15-11 to force the golden set.

Austin then took control early in the final race to 15 points, using a five-point run to build a 7-3 lead. The defending champions never looked back, and Eggleston finished the match with the title-clinching kill.

Madisen Skinner was named LOVB Championship MVP for the second straight year after recording 21 points.

“We’re chasing more than championships,” Skinner said. “It’s about connection, growth, and becoming the best versions of ourselves.”
