USA ended preliminary round of the World League Group 1 with 3-0 win over Russia 35-33, 25-17, 25-21.
The first set between these two sides were very uncertain. After 68 points, USA prevailed 35-33!
This result demotivated Russian side while on the other side gave moral boost to Speraw’s side and in another two sets, USA smashed Alekno’s team!
Max Holt was the top scorer with 14 points in USA, while Viktor Poletaev had 13 on the other side.
Iran have also ended the World League 2016 competition with a win over Argentina! The game ended after five sets.
