In Louisiana flooding which is considered the worst US disaster since the 2012 Hurricane Sandy when at least 233 people were killed, a former US Volleyball National Team player and nominee for the International Volleyball Hall of Fame has lost many of her possessions.
Heavy rain which fell across the southern part of the state on August 13 caused flooding. It affected homes, roads and driveways. Scott-Arruda’s home was located in one of the most severely affected areas and she practically lost almost everything she had.
Thus, her friend and also Long Beach State and USA NT teammate Tayyiba Haneef-Park established a Go Fund Me page to spread the word on her tragic faith and help her rebuild her home.
Scott-Arruda is currently engaged as an assistant coach for the USA Women’s Junior A1 White.
