A surprise was the qualification of Arkas Izmir (Turkey) that was defeated by Lokomotiv Novosibirsk in first match but they won 3:2 (25:27, 18:25, 25:22, 25:23 16:14) in second game. In the golden set Arkas won with 15:11.
In the semifinals will play Zenit Kazan and the Italian club on one side and on the other, Belchatow against Turkish Izmir of Brazilian player Bravo.
